After having bought one of those ID4 Lindberg Alien Attacker kits, I found that the details were terrible and very inaccurate compared to the 2ft & 4ft studio models and the parts were very few. I also noticed a part from the nose/grill section that was not included with the kit (even though the box art shows that it is). I was unhappy with the look of the kit, so I decided to do a fair bit of work sculpting and modifying the kit so it looked more like the ships seen in the movie and Area 51. It came out looking pretty good so I made a mold with the idea in producing a fleet of them to arrange in an attack flying formation! The colours are various shades of grey, but I may do an 'indoor' version in an eerie green as they appear in the latter parts of the film. I have 2 spares left over (unpainted) if anyone's interested? 2 good ones and one not so good (air-bubbles). I understand these kits are very difficult to come by now and the ones available are quite expensive to buy. At least with the one I modified you'd get a more accurate version of the ship. It is unpainted and has approx 5 parts. Cast solid in Urethane quality resin - £30 each. ;D I will get some pics up of my painted models and the diorama. Let me know if anyone's interested? Thanks!
