I just ventured here from nowhere. I am a Co-Founder of an up-and-coming makerspace in Lafayette, La, and am looking for long-term projects to help attract people to the place, so I started thinking about things to build, and movie props came to mind. I kinda poked around for some sci-fi and fantasy props of all shapes and sizes to build, and it dawned on me - The Thunder Road from the Explorers movie. Not a scale model, mind you - a life size replica. I want to be able to sit in this thing, and I have been on the search for some fan-made or actual movie blueprints or schematics. Trouble is - as far as my limited search knowledge has afforded me - they don't exist. So I'm turning to here to find out if someone can help at least point me in the right direction. This project is really hitting home more than any other project we might visit, as this is my favorite movie. Building this would be a dream come true for me, and is really the reason I am a builder/maker in the first place. So if anyone can help me locate some plans for The Thunder Road, you'd have my eternal gratitude, and an extended and open invitation to come see it, because if we can find a plan, we will build it. Thanks to all, CaptainM

I've seen most of the pictures from google images, but I haven't seen a single blueprint.
I'm hoping one or a reasonable facsimile exists.
FotN was another childhood favorite of mine, and watching both kind of get me all choked up.
I suppose if blueprints aren't available, I'll just have to make my own.
I don't know how long it will take to source all the parts, but I will build a Thunder Road.
I'll post my progress here.
