Hi Guys! Here you can view my on going progress with the Rex paddock as featured in the first Jurassic Park movie. It is actually to the same scale as the Horizon JP T-rex model kit so I may add one of those later on. I will try to update with images daily so keep watching. Also, if anyone's interested in the diorama (when completed), I could add it to the 'Classifieds' section of this site. Just let me know. Enjoy... Fence post support block under construction. To be molded for the creation of duplicate resin casts.

I don't remember them being so narrow?? Are you making the beams to go into them (the wire supports)? I think you can buy the beams ready made in styrene, so there's part of the job done for you already if you can find the correct size. Will you be doing the cars too?

Yes, I will be buying the beams ready made. The blocks in the last pictures are standing up on end, and so are actually low and flat as seen in the attached image of the Rex paddock. I will also make the cars, guidence track, lighting and various other pieces including the Rex figure of course. It will be one cool diorama and come in 2 sizes. I'm doing 2 alongside each other in 2 scales. The larger scale will match the Lindberg Ford Explorer JP model kit, so that will be included after some modification. Attachments:

Are you doing explorers for both scales? Also, will any of them be a recreation of the Rex assault scene? That would be neat and I hope you do that. I did see another model like this elsewhere (see the image I posted), but would love to see what you come up with. Attachments:

I'd love to try the dino attack scene. Good model you posted too. It's a very inspiring piece.

I've seen 2 different Rex attack scene models done like that, but both only have the one car. It'd look more accurate and certainly put yours apart from the rest if you did both the vehicles. How big would the diorama base have to be to put in the 38 inch Rex you're making?

Big, but do-able!
