This would make a nice display piece for my office wall at home. The 'Jurassic Park Logo Rock Relief' is something I wanted to do for a while and it gives me a chance to make artificial rocks and stone effects, which is something I had never really touched upon before. To start I cut up some foam sheet board (used for mounting prints) and cut away the center for the main logo sculpt that I will be adding separately. I added some plaster to fill some unwanted slots and experimented with it a bit to get the rock texture I wanted, but didn't really work out. I'll put clay on top of that and press in a texture stamp. The logo outline was very time consuming, but turned out pretty good. It does still need some clean up work, but I'm concentrating on the outer rock details right now. Attachments:

It's about 2ft across. I started doing the Rex skeleton and working out the proportions. This is an oil-based clay to prevent it from drying out. Attachments:

That's gonna take a lot of sculpting to get all those bones! How are you doing the letters? If you need any screenshots, I have some in my folder for you if you need em? Just let me know.

Yeah, please post anything you have. I'm currently working directly from the tv screen and a photo in my Making of Jurassic Park book.

Cool! Thanks for that one. It looks like the fan-made piece over at the RPF. I've posted a pic of the Rex sculpt test fit with the main logo outline. Attachments:
